nice price deal !!! essential & deep album by the man monoder aka jussi pekka! timeless beauty ! monoder. born in the cold north among industrial warehouses, people wearing only gray and random rabbits crossing the streets. his home town has two-lane streets which were made for the mass movement that never happened. physically close to civilization but mentally light years away. with the economic regression hitting hard, the town is filled with unemployed and old people wandering the streets and trying to find out what went wrong. like zombies of a mental desert. monoder. though the name sounds familiar, he has nothing to do with italodisco or electropop. the music, as the name, is filled with cold, stripped down and hypnotic atmospheres. taking you on a trip filled with hunger, cold breeze, forests and frozen tundra. the studio is on the roof-level of abandoned rubber factory, where disillusioned entrepreneurs try to get their daily bread doing what ever. moist pushing from the sealing and walls. water dripping during the mixdown. someone pulling cargo in the hallway.

as costello continues to look long, the grooves continue to flow. lng3 sees the reissue of the deep house classic pleite which originally appeared on trapez in 2003. recorded in dublin in 2002, this version has been mastered at dubplates and mastering, berlin in 2009. the results are stunning and serve as a welcome reminder of costelloÆs deep roots. pleite (costello dub) in particular could teach some of todayÆs hyperactive producers a thing or two about setting up a solid groove and letting it sit. the timing of this reissue could not be more perfect with regard to the current musical zeitgeist. the title, a german colloquialism for broke or indeed bankrupt which was an in-joke at the time of the original release, takes on a new significance in the context of global economic recession.

while working on their upcoming second subsonic park album, alex azary and gabriel le mar have sent out prelistening demos, loops and samples to various friends and artists. the response was amazing and ended in some new remixes which have now been cut on vinyl for subsonic park’s new 12&#8243,,, which gives a slight preview to their new album, due for release in june. the 12” features a deep but pushy discodub remix of “code two” by new york based brendon moeller aka beat pharmacy and on the flipside an uplifting techhouse remix of “find u tonight” by aku aku, one of berlin’s upcoming nu school producers. the digital release also features a dubby and atmospheric deep house remix of “zoologic” by dutch deep tech producer martin oude kempers aka quantum dubstar

who the hell are bleep district i hear you ask? well for those of you who havent heard their awsome debut on replay records they are matt powell a founding dj of the legendary quadrant soundsystem and the inappropriately nicknamed matt rhythm who rumour has it spends his spare time pressing random buttons as one half of deep house anti-heroes rhythm plate. coming straight out of leftfield, bleep district have exploded onto the deep house scene like a musical gas leak. their quirky, chunky, dancefloor orientated beats causing serious damage on dancefloors and working mens clubs around the counrty. these two devout christians and still practising altar boys have decided to continue the religious theme of the bleep of faith ep on the highly respected winding road and titled their debut for ornate music… end days ep. revelations (rapture rub) kicks of the ep with a clearly deluded shaun ryderesque gentleman professing his faith over a big moody analogue bass and detroit style stabs on a track that would make the staunchest non believers begging for absolution! and on revelations (pillar of salt dub) they take things nice and deep for those more reflective moments in the evening.
